Once
again Ian and Wendy Openshaw return to The CLA Game Fair to present the
spaniel demonstrations. Ian is fresh from his recent triumph in gaining
first and second in the Cocker Championship and first, second and fourth in
the 'any variety spaniel except cocker championship' in January this year.
Prior to these awards, Ian won the any variety except cocker championship
four times and also the Irish Spaniel Championship once, thus accruing seven
championship wins in all. He has also gained a second prize in the I.G.L.
Retriever Championship.

Ian
trained his first spaniel at the age of eleven and ran it in its first
novice stake when he was thirteen, gaining second prize. Now 40 years of
age, he has made up to field trial champion status 31 English Springer
Spaniels, eleven Labrador Retrievers and six Cocker Spaniels. Ian trained
