u 400 hectares (912 acres) in the three sub-regions of Rioja Alta,
u Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Baja.

Grape Varieties Grown

u Red: Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Garnacha,
u Cabernet Sauvignon.
u White: Viura, Malvasia.


u New state-of-the-art winery built in 1984 in Oyón.
u Separate facilities for vinification, barrel ageing (14.000 barrels), and bottle ageing (3.500.000 bottles).
u All vinification is temperature controlled by computers.
u The barrel ageing facility is completely climate-controlled.
u An air renewal system changes the air in the bottle ageing room twice each day.

Wines Produced

u All estate-bottled: Conde de Valdemar for aged wines;
u Valdemar for young wines.
u Conde de Valdemar: Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva.
u Valdemar: Blanco, Rosado, Tinto.

Annual Production

u Approximately 250.000 cases of estate-bottled wine:
u 85% red;
u 15% white and rosé.
u 80% Conde de Valdemar (40% Crianza / 40% Reserva and Gran Reserva)
u 20% Valdemar
